Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a student (Honours, Masters or PhD welcome) or ECR less than or equal to 5 years post PhD

• Be a member of the ASM* and based in Victoria

*If not currently a member, applicants must be eligible for membership and must pay for such at the time of application for the Award.

Conditions of Award

The recipient of the award will be required to show proof of registration or submission of an abstract to BacPath 2026

Assessment

• Using only 1 slide, create a 3-minute video telling us about your research, why it’s important and why you would like to attend BacPath 2026

• Email (1) your mp4 video file, and (2) proof of ASM membership by 5pm Wednesday 1st July 2026 to Jhih-Hang Jiang (jhih-hang.jiang@monash.edu) or Steve Petrovski (steve.petrovski@latrobe.edu.au)

• Videos will be assessed by members of the ASM Vic Branch Committee and one winner will be selected to attend BacPath 2026
